LIMITED TWO-YEAR PRODUCT WARRANTY:

This Sequence BioTech, LLC instrument is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of delivery. At its discretion, Sequence BioTech’s manufacturer will repair or replace all defective components during this warranty period. Sequence BioTech reserves the right to use new, repaired, or refurbished instruments or components for warranty replacements. Repair or replacement of products or components under warranty does not extend the original warranty period.

  • The above warranty does not apply to defects resulting from misuse, neglect, or accident, including without limitation: operation with incompatible solvents or samples aspirated beyond the volume of the disposable pipette tips; operation outside of the environmental or use specifications; failure to follow recommended operating instructions; failure to use compatible accessories; improper or inadequate maintenance by the user; installation of the instrument or use of products not authorized by Sequence BioTech; use with incompatible liquids or other materials; and modification or repair of the instrument not authorized by Sequence BioTech. In addition, the warranty is void if the serial number has been altered or defaced. Maintenance is the owner’s responsibility. Promptly wipe and remove any chemicals, solutions or samples when spilled on this instrument. Keep the Bearing Rail clean of spills and debris to ensure easy side-to-side motion.

  • Warranty claims must be submitted during the warranty period. Submit claims promptly to Sequence BioTech Technical Support at (603)769-0963 or email service@sequencebiotech.com. Upon approval, you will be supplied with the name and address of an authorized service center as to where to ship the instrument. A repaired or replaced instrument will be returned as promptly as feasible. Proper shipping, packaging, and handling charges to the service center are the responsibility of the owner. Shipping charges back to the owner are the responsibility of the service center.

  • An extended warranty or service and maintenance agreements are available through your account manager. Please see the Service Plans Section of this manual or call for details.

  • If your instrument has exceeded the warranty period, or repairs are not covered due to warranty exclusions or exceptions, contact Sequence Biotech Technical Support at (603)769-0963 or email service@sequencebiotech.com. An authorized service center will reply with a non-binding good faith estimate and a shipping address.

Service Plans:

Sequence offers an Extended Warranty Service Plan, a Calibration Service Plan, and two levels of Performance Service Plans for its 96 Channel Precision Series Pipettors. Under our Performance Service Plans, manufacturer trained technicians will inspect, repair and calibrate your 96 Channel Sequence Precision Series Pipettor, and provide repair notes and “as left” certification. Every calibration is documented and follows standard laboratory quality control traceability guidelines.

Choose the Service Plan that best fits your needs:

  • Provides an additional one, two or three year extension to the pipettor’s standard two year limited warranty. See standard limited warranty terms, conditions and limitations on page 1. See the following page for shipment information. The limited warranty extension must commence immediately after the end of a prior warranty period. If it does not, please call for pricing.

  • The Calibration Service Plan is a one, two, or three year plan that provides a re-certification of the pipettor’s accuracy and precision, and, if necessary, recalibration to a standard that is equal to or better than the original manufacturer’s specifications. Calibration is performed using photometry and includes a 3-3 “as left” certificate of performance for accuracy and precision at 20 and 250 uL. The “3-3 as Left” certification indicates that the instrument was calibrated by dispensing sample fluid into three 96 well plates at 20 uL and three more at 250 uL. The results of the three calibration tests are averaged at each volume with respective accuracy and precision calculated and documented on the Certificate of Performance, which you will find on the following page. Additional details of the calibration can be provided upon request. See below for shipment information. If pipettor calibration cannot be achieved due to worn, damaged or malfunctioning parts that are not covered by warranty, a technician will call with a repair estimate.

  • The Performance Assurance Service Plan is a one year plan that provides the calibration and certification described in the Calibration Service Plan above. The Performance Assurance Service Plan also provides a full refurbishment of the pipetting head assembly or installation of a refurbished pipetting head 6 assembly, and a bushing and rail surface lubrication, to be performed at any time during the year designated by customer.

For refurbishment, our trained service technician will:

    1) Remove the pipetting head.

    2) Ultrasonically clean all metal parts in the head assembly.

    3) Replace 96 piston seals using OEM parts.

    4) Rebuild or replace pipetting head components as necessary.

  • The Extreme Performance Service Plan is a one year plan that covers all components of your instrument. It extends the original instrument limited warranty to the one year period of the plan, provides the calibration described in the Calibration Service Plan with two calibration points, and provides all services of the Performance Assurance Service Plan.

In addition, as part of the refurbishing and servicing of the instrument, our trained service technician will:

    1) Clean and inspect the entire instrument, and replace or repair any component found to be damaged, significantly worn or malfunctioning, subject to normal warranty exclusions.

    2) Check the balance and action of horizontal and vertical motion, and adjust or replace bearings, bushings or gas spring if necessary.

    3) Update firmware with latest version.

    4) Replace parts that have been updated on compatible instrument versions.

    5) Check proper alignment of pipette tips to 96 and 384 microplates, and correct if necessary.

The calibration and maintenance date, and the plan renewal date, are recorded on a label that is placed on the instrument. Service and calibration records with the technician’s signature will be maintained throughout the instrument’s service history. See the following page for shipment information.
